What is depression?

Depression is a state of mind or self that involves feelings of sadness lasting for 2 weeks or longer, often accompanied by loss of interest in life. It affects not only moods but also mental power and attitude of people. Depression is different from feeling low and low mood. Feeling low is for a day or two but when above feelings are consistently for more than two weeks then it is called as depression.


It does not matter what your depression is diagnosed as. Clinically it may be unipolar depression or bipolar depression. Names and labeling will not make any difference to it. You will get further clarity about depression as you are further read this information. Be very open minded while reading it which will uncover the truths of depression.


What are the symptoms of depression?

o  Bad moods.

o  Lack of interest in activities.

o  Difficulty in getting sleep / over sleep / insomnia (less or no sleep)

o  Eating less / more.

o  Lack of interest in sex.

o  Frustration.

o  Low self-esteem.

o  Crying.

o  Negative thinking.

o  Fatigue.

o  Tiredness.

o  Low energy levels.


What are the causes of depression?

Depression is not a condition of the brain but the mind. Suppressed anger in mind is the cause of depression. One feels that you don't have the right to get angry and this suppression of anger leads to depression. Repeated experiences of  life causing you to feel helpless is the cause of depression. You could be angry on your own self or may be on your partner, a friend, a colleague, your boss or anyone else. May be you are angry on God or you could be angry on your own life. Sometimes it may happen that you are not aware as to whom you are angry on? It happens mainly when you are angry on your own self. At that time you are unaware about your own feelings. You become angry with your own self because of low self esteem. You don't feel good about yourself, you want something for your life or you want to become something in life, you want to achieve something in life and you are not able to achieve and yet you want it resulting in having anger on your own self. Now many a times this anger which you are unaware of leads to suppression or you could be angry with something else also.


Why does one experience suppressed anger?

Because of lack of life force energyin ones body, one is having very limited understanding and limited perception towards life, towards others and towards oneself resulting in experiences of suppressed anger.


What happens in brain when one is in depression?

There will be chemical changes in brain. Levels of dopamine, serotonin will be decreased in brain causing all above symptoms. Lack of life force energy results in low levels of chemicals in the brain.


What does anti-depression tablets do?

The levels of chemicals which are low will be increased temporarilyby anti-depression tablets.


Can anti-depression tablets cure depression?

Medicine does not heal or cure depression permanently. It is just one way of suppressing the symptoms which are mentioned above. Medicine gives you relief for some hours or a day.


Are there any tests available for depression?

Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) can be done on patients to find if they are suffering from clinical depression or not. Psychologists normally conduct such tests.

There is no need of such tests to ascertain the cause. Healing everything is different from life’s view point. Slowly and peacefully and repeatedly go through the information given over here.


Can depression be treated completely?

Yes, it can be totally healed. From the point of view of medical science depression is considered as an illness. From the point of view of life depression is not an illness is just a state of mind or self which one is going through to experience growth. So it requires healing and not treatment.


What is the difference between healing and treatment?

Treatment is done to something or someone when you or the doctor perceive that something is wrong, something is not alright, something is not ok, something is imperfect or something which should not be there. And you or the doctor try to fix it, this fixing process is known as treatment. Treatment is a mechanical process for example if you have headache you take a tablet to remove it. When the tablet suppresses the headache for the time being and you feel ok for the time being, this is known as a treatment for your headache.

Healing is a natural process. Healing happens when you do not try to fix anything, you do not think that something is wrong, you do not think that something should not be there, you do not try to perceive it as something wrong or imperfect. In the process of healing you accept yourself completely as you are. For example you do not think that depression should not be there or I should not be depressed because experience of depression is leading to growth in you from the point of view of higher understanding of life. It is making you aware of your own emotions and feelings. So we accept it, learn from it and when growth happens healing happens. Same way every disease which one goes through is for a reason and for growth to make oneself become aware about one's own self.


What happens in the healing of depression?

Healing happens when you have higher understanding about depression, about the causes of depression, about your own feelings. When you are in depression, the awareness of your feelings (suppressed anger) leads to healing. So healing is not fixing anything but it is an awareness of your own being at physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level.


Can increasing life force energy heals depression?

Yes 100%. Our life is fundamentally dependent on life force energy. You are breathing the prana energy that consists of the life force energy. When there is lack of energy, as compared to what you actually need to live your life you have all kinds of problems, one of them is depression. Increasing life force of energy leads to healing depression completely.


Can we increase our life force energy by breathing process?

When we are breathing we have life force energy. Breathing is directly connected with our thoughts. When we have too many thoughts or negative thoughts or fearful thoughts our breathing is affected. For example notice yourself when you are worrying about your future or you are anxious. At that time your breathing is much faster. You need to inhale more, take long breaths because of too many thoughts. Exactly opposite to this is when you are in a joyful state, feeling happy and relaxed your breathing is slow and steady. Now when you are in anxiety you are obstructing life force energy to come within your system. And when you are joyful, happy, enjoying life you are allowing life force energy to come in your system through your breathing. When we are in a normal state we are frustrated, irritated, insecure, fearful thereby obstructing life force energy that come through breathing which is required for our daily activities to be healthy and to live a happy life. Here there is insufficient life force energy leading to illness or problems. The way to increase life force energy is to have sound sleep, being in silence, have joyful thoughts, be happy, being with nature, and most important you get abundance of life force energy through practice of meditation.


What is the difference between receiving of  life force energy during breathing state and no breath state?

Breath has life force energy but that does not mean that inhaling means inhaling more life force energy and inhaling less means having less life force energy. Breath is having prana energy in combination with oxygen. But life force energy will go into your system if you allow it to. So having more breaths does not necessarily mean consuming more life force energy. You may be inhaling more breaths but not allowing prana energy to reach you. Breath helps you for your existence and prana energy helps you to be alive full of vitality. In meditation reaching a no thought state is no breath state. Here you are not breathing but you have abundance of life force energy. When in sleep you receive limited life force energy.Also when one is in silence you receive limited life force energy. But when you are breathing and are thinking at a conscious level with joyful emotions, you are allowing more life force energy to come to you. When you are breathing and are thinking at conscious level with painful emotions you are inhaling breaths but not allowing prana energy to come in your system. So you could be breathing but not necessarily receiving prana energy always.


This has to be understood very clearly wherein in one state no breath leads to receiving abundance of prana energy and in another state breathing with joyful emotions also leads to receiving more prana energy.


All diseases enter our body because of lack of life force energy is that true?

Yes 100%.All diseases result from insufficient/lack of life force energy in our body.


How to heal depression?

Hypnotherapy, massage therapy, music therapy, oxygen therapy, hydrotherapy, crystal therapy, psychotherapy, naturopathy, ayurveda, homeopathy and many other alternative therapies can be helpful to heal depression. You can decide which therapies you want to choose as long as you are feeling good about it. Only then will it work for you. Some therapies may have worked well for others. Please do not go for those therapies or treatments if you are not personally feeling good about it. It will not work for you even if it has worked for someone else.
